This supply list is for all my painting classes besides my beginner watercolor class and plein air watercolor class.

These are the items you need to arrive with for the first class1.
1You do not need to buy the exact items linked. Any local art shop or other online store has comparable items that will perform great for you.
Required Items
- Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolors Compact Set
- Pencil (1)
- Kneaded eraser (1)
- (1) 9″ x 12″ pad of watercolor paper, 90lb weight, minimum 20 sheets. The recommended pad of paper has 25% cotton per sheet, the cotton is great for beginner success. You can try less inexpensive paper that does not contain 25% cotton however, many students have less desirable results in their paintings with uneven application of paint and/or ‘pilling’ of the painting surface.
- Size 8 watercolor paintbrush (1)
- Flat 1/2″ or larger watercolor paintbrush (1)
- Watercolor masking fluid, sometimes called frisket or liquid latex. I do recommend the Winsor & Newton brand due to its easy application and availability in stores. Stay away from the ‘colorless’ or ‘odorless’ versions of this product, as ease of use is reduced and odorless isn’t exactly odorless. (If you’ve taken my classes before, this is the ONLY new supply you need to purchase).
